Panchkarma Treatment
Virechana therapy is a type of panchkarma treatment in ayurvedic medicine that involves the use of purgative herbs or medicines to eliminate excess pitta dosha (one of the three doshas or biological energies) from the body. The treatment involves the ingestion of medicinal ghee or oil followed by herbal purgatives to induce bowel movements and expel toxins from the gastrointestinal tract. Virechana therapy is believed to be effective in treating a variety of health issues related to Pitta dosha, including digestive disorders, skin problems, and liver disorders, among others. It is usually performed under the guidance of a qualified ayurvedic practitioner.
